Foreign Trade Zone

Gateway Commerce Center is part of Foreign Trade Zone No. 31, one of only two foreign trade zone (FTZ) sites in the St. Louis area.  As a result, companies operating at the site can capture major economic benefits largely unavailable elsewhere in the region.    

FTZ No. 31 is a public/private sector venture operated by the Tri-City Regional Port District.

• Import duty reduction or elimination on products manufactured, assembled, or processed in an FTZ.

• U.S. duty elimination when goods are re-exported from an FTZ to a foreign country or another FTZ.
